Anchored — 1:1 Coaching with Bethany Joy
There is space here for what you haven’t been able to say.
Not the version of you that has it together. Not the faith that looks right from the outside. Not the woman who has been managing, carrying, and holding everything in place.
The one underneath all of that.
You are welcome here.
Does This Sound Like You?
You love God — but something feels distant or stuck.
You know the verses. You know the language. You know how to show up, serve, hold it together, and keep going. And still, something feels off.
You say yes when you want to say no. You feel guilty resting. You read the verse again because it didn’t land the first time.
You are carrying more than you let on. You have been strong for so long you have forgotten what it feels like to be held. You sense there is more — more freedom, more peace, more of God — but you don’t know how to find your way there.
You have questions you haven’t felt safe to ask out loud.
You have never felt fully safe enough to bring all of yourself into one space.
You are not a problem to be solved. You are a treasure waiting to be discovered.
Anchored 1:1 Coaching
What is Anchored?
Anchored is not a program with steps to follow or a checklist to complete. There is no performance required and no arrival expected.
This is open, unhurried space — built for you if you sense something needs to shift but don’t yet have the words for what it is. If you have tried the Bible studies, the self-help books, maybe even therapy, and still find yourself circling the same places, carrying the same weight.
Using somatic and embodied practices, breath work, and story work, we slow down together and begin to listen to what your body has been trying to say. Layer by layer. Gently. Without rushing toward resolution.
I’m a certified trauma-informed faith and embodiment coach through Freedom Movement, and I’m currently completing my certification as a Story Work Practitioner — a two-year training in working with the body, story, and the nervous system in an integrated, trauma-informed way.
This is not therapy. It’s a sacred coaching container where your lived experience is honored, your body is treated as a source of wisdom, and Scripture is offered as an encounter, not information.
What You Bring Into the Space
- You may bring fear, shame, confusion, anger, grief, disappointment, numbness, exhaustion, or doubt.
- You may not know exactly what is wrong. You may only know you cannot keep living the way you have been living.
- You may still want God. You may feel far from Him. You may not even know what you believe right now.
- What you bring is welcome. You do not have to clean it up first.
What Happens Here
Every session is Spirit-led and follows your pace — not a curriculum. What is alive for you is what we follow.
Together, we slow down and create space for your body, soul, and spirit to be present. We use breath, body awareness, and somatic practices to access what your mind has been protecting. We listen for what hasn’t had words yet. We bring it gently into the light, and we invite God to meet us there. Between sessions, you’ll receive a personal recap of what surfaced, along with a resource tailored to where you are — an embodied practice audio, a journal prompt, or a gentle invitation to sit with what came up. You’ll also have access to me via WhatsApp between sessions, so you are never left alone with what surfaces.
This is not a quick fix. It is a slow, steady journey toward breathing a little easier, carrying a little less, and discovering that you were never as alone as it felt.
What Makes This Different
This is not therapy. This is not Bible study. This is not advice-giving. This is not pressure to get your faith right.
This is a space where what is real gets named — where you don’t have to perform, explain away, or push through what is happening inside you. Where your body is not treated like a problem and your questions are not treated like a threat.
What You Carry Away
Not completion. Not arrival.
A little more breath. A little more hope. A felt sense of being seen. The beginning of knowing, in your body and not just your mind, that God is tender toward you and you are not alone. You stop performing peace and start telling the truth instead. You start to notice the difference between actual peace and simply shutting down. This is not about becoming a polished version of yourself. It’s about becoming more honest, more present, and more rooted in what is real.
The Investment
Each session is 60 minutes via Zoom. Sessions are available weekly.
The more space you give yourself, the more room there is for the gentle unfolding this work requires. There is no rushing here.
